Ron was partnered with Jaylah in May. Jaylah came to us from Kerrybrook Labradors; you may remember last year, she had a litter of pups with Circle Tail Braxton. Following her litter, she was spayed and went on to complete her journey to become a service dog. Although Ron started working with Jaylah before the COVID-19 pandemic, we had to get creative to complete the training and ensure a successful partnership. Ron and Jaylah practiced outside, while trainers watched from a safe distance and offered advice and communicated remotely throughout the process. We’re excited to see them working so well together! Ron says, “Jaylah is my third service dog and my second Circle Tail service dog. I was a little apprehensive when I first met Jaylah because she was so different from my last service dog, Zephyr. I was determined that I needed a male black lab just like Zephyr, and here was a female yellow lab being offered as my next partner. My concerns were not warranted, as Jaylah and I bonded instantly. She is so smart and when she’s in her service vest she is all business.”
