Leisel was placed with Toni S. as a hearing dog in 2009 and these are Toni’s words of remembrance for her dear sweet Leisel:
Leisel . . . this word brings tears to my eyes. Our partnership was rough at first, until one day I unzipped myself and she unzipped herself and we both crawled inside of each other. From that day on we were inseparable.
She constantly watched me. Never taking her eyes off of me. We walked many miles and gave many belly rubs. We would lay on the floor and solve all of our family problems.
Our day never started without a morning hug.
She was deeply loved by everyone in Harrison, Ohio.
She gave me so many gifts, without expecting anything in return.
We talked about many things.
There will never be another. If so, it would be one of Gods greatest gifts.
