Gibbs
We were lucky enough to be chosen by Circle Tail to adopt, Gibbs “a service dog drop out” as we liked to call him. He was probably a bit too anxious for that task. We had a long 3 week wait for him to get picked up from Marysville Women’s Prison but it was so worth it. December 4, 2009 was the day we brought him home. Gibbs was everything we could have ever wanted – sweet, loving, playful and the list goes on. He had us, and any visitor, trained with treats – he had many but as we always said, “YOLO”! Oh the miles he and I traveled on our daily walks. He was a cancer survivor. At the tender age of 13, he had surgery to have the cancer removed and came through like a champ. 17 amazing years this boy lived – 15.5 with us. We miss Gibbs so much but were so blessed to have him as part of our family. What joy and love we brought to each other.
