Circle Tail has four main volunteer needs:
1. ON-SITE

Volunteers are needed to come to Circle Tail to exercise, socialize, train and groom the dogs on site. In addition, there are many other tasks to keep the Circle Tail trails open and the grounds and buildings clean, safe and looking good. After orientation and 3 Saturdays of training, volunteers are also welcome on Sundays, and weekdays from 8:00-11:00 AM and 3:30-6:30 PM.
2. OFF-SITE

People are needed to staff information booths at various pet and health fairs around Cincinnati as well as off-site adoption events. We also need people to speak to various schools and businesses about the programs of Circle Tail. Some volunteer tasks can be done in the comfort of your home. You will still be helping the Circle Tail dogs immensely.
3. FUNDRAISING/SPECIAL EVENTS/COMMITTEES
| Fundraising Grant Writing Special Events / Fundraising Public Relations (press releases, etc.) |
Marketing Adoption Volunteer Updating Social Networking Sites |
If you are in sales or public relations, we need grant writers and volunteers to help with fundraising. We need volunteers to help with and lead various events throughout the year, especially our Annual Golf Classic. We need volunteers to serve on various Circle Tail committees, such as our adoption and volunteer committees.
4. FOSTER FAMILIES
For the shyer dogs who do not do well in our prison program, foster families are needed to teach manners so that these dogs are more adoptable. In addition, foster families are needed for our service/hearing dog program in order to increase our success with training and placing these dogs with people with disabilities. The foster families house, reinforce commands, and take our dogs out to public places so that they are confident, well socialized and have impeccable public manners. Here is more information on fostering.

LOCATION
Circle Tail is located at 8834 Carey Lane in Butlerville, Ohio, off Route 132 in Warren County. We are approximately 30 miles east of downtown Cincinnati, Ohio. Here is a Google Map.
CHILDREN
We have great opportunities for dog lovers over the age of ten; however, a parent must accompany their child. After the orientation and initial visit, volunteers age sixteen and over are welcome without a supervising adult, provided they have their own transportation and have shown themselves to be responsible and self-sufficient.
Due to the volunteer manpower required, we cannot accommodate volunteer groups of young children at our facility. However, Circle Tail always appreciates groups who gather donations of items from our wish list, and we are happy to schedule a volunteer to come to your organization with one our dogs to talk about our program. If you would like to schedule a visit to your group, please email volunteer@circletail.org with the details.
