Donations and Sponsorship

How is Circle Tail funded?   How can I support Circle Tail?

Circle Tail is a 501(c)3 public charity and is supported entirely by public contributions. Circle Tail receives no government funding. Financial support of Circle Tail  is tax deductible as allowed by law.
The Circle Tail assistance dogs and associated training is at no cost to the individual.   It costs approximately $8,000 to successfully partner one dog/person team.
Circle Tail strives to help each Assistance Dog/ Partner team get started out on the right paw. We would like to provide to each team partnered with an assistance dog a "Team Starter Tote" which would include start-up supplies such as a collar with ID tag, leash, toy, assistance dog vest or harness, some grooming supplies, 6 months worth of heartworm and flea/tick control medication, 1 month supply of food, membership in the International Association of Assistance Dog Partners and more . These totes cost Circle Tail approximately $350. Donations to cover one or more of these totes would enable more recipients to begin their new assistance dog partnership with less financial worries.
To support Circle Tail in its mission to provide assistance dogs to people with special needs please print the attached form and send with your tax deductible contribution to the address on the bottom of the form.  We thank you for your generosity and consideration and our dogs thank you as well!

At Circle Tail, donations and sponsorship are also needed to support 2 types of foster puppy programs.  The first is the Foster Puppy/Family Program which places puppies in homes of individuals or families who want to help develop a puppy to eventually assist a handicapped individual.  To become a foster family, please complete the Foster Family Application or to provide financial assistance for a foster puppy, please complete the following form.

The second type of foster puppy program is the Foster Puppy/Inmate program which pairs a puppy with an inmate in a correctional facility.  Donations to the Foster Puppy/Inmate program can be made using the following form.

Does Circle Tail need any donated items?  What supplies do the dogs need?

Circle Tail is in need of the supplies listed below.  If you can donate any of these items, please call 513-877-3325 for information on how to mail them to Circle Tail, for directions to our location or to arrange for a volunteer to pick them up at your home.

  • Picnic tables and chairs/benches
  • Trash bags, 30, 33 or 45 gallon and 13 gallon
  • Bleach 
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Paper towels
  • AA batteries
  • Soft dog chew treats for training
  • Dog/Puppy food
  • Hard chew bones (Nylabone type or hard rubber)
  • Dog Crates - All sizes especially large
  • Dog Retrieval Toys (Frisbee, Balls, Rope Toys, dumbbells)
  • Storage Bins - All sizes
  • Broom, Mops
  • Office Supplies (Tape, labels, stamps, manila folders, etc.)
  • Cat Litter
  • Dog Grooming Equipment (slickers, rakes, shedding blades, etc)
  • Blankets, Towels, Throw Rugs
  • Rubber Buckets
  • Inkjet Printer/ Photocopying Paper (white & color)
  • Dog Shampoo
  • Tarps (10x12 and larger)
